1st prize in invited international competition 2005

The architectural character of our proposal is largely determined by the site, functional clarity and image of a company operating in a field of technology.

The basic visual idea is to give a dynamic shape and direction to the master plan. The strong north-west to south-east direction combines together different zones in the area.

We have emphasized two important landmark buildings with the two major axes. The old power plant in west is the end point of “The Avenue of Power” and the great bridge over Yangtze is underlined with “The Avenue of Intelligence”. These two avenues are meeting in the public area and forming the primary ring road around the area.

Clear and strong structure of the master plan also allows architectural flexibility in the area. Different buildings of different zones can have their own architectural nature, but the image of the whole area is still recognizable.
