PES ARCHITECTS SIGN CONTRACT IN CHENGDU, CHINA
On 2nd June 2010 PES-Architects signed a contract with Chengdu Hi-Tech Investment ltd. for the design of a 192m high skyscraper in the Chengdu High-tech Zone.
The design task also includes a high end apartment building which will be co-designed by the Finnish architecture firm Helin&Co.
Together with underground parking and service facilities the gross area of the whole Icon Yun Duan project will be more than 160.000m2.
The project will be made in co-operation with a local design institute CSWADI.
The project is based on the winning competition entry by PES-Architects made in 2009.
Construction of the Icon Yun Duan project will start as early as November 2010.
